Please find below the Post16 Prospectus & Subject Information Guide for September 2025 entry, alongside the
To apply for a place from September 2025, completed forms can be downloaded below, and can either be printed and handed in to Ms Massey (Post 16 Administrator) in the Post 16 office, or completed electronically and emailed to r.massey@twa.kmat.org.uk
Applications will be accepted from Tuesday 5th November 2024
Priority deadline for applications no later than Wednesday 15th January 2025
Applications maybe submitted after the priority deadline, but will be considered after all priority applicants.
General Entry Requirements:
There are two entry criteria pathways into our Sixth Form;
Pathway 1
At least 5 GCSEs at grade 5 or above, including Maths and English Language. This can include up to 2 BTEC level 2’s at Merit of above. Entry on Pathway 1 will allow students to choose up to 4 courses from the full range of A Levels & Diplomas on offer. Students must also meet the subject specific requirements as set out in the prospectus.
Pathway 2
At least 5 GCSEs at grade 4 or above, including either Maths and English language at grade 4. This can include one Level 2 BTEC (or equivalent course) at Pass or above. Pathway 2 will allow students a choice of 2 vocational courses from:
- Applied Criminology
- Applied Food Science and Nutrition
- Level 3 BTEC Health and Social Care
- Music Technology
- Level 3 BTEC Sport
- A Level Art
- A level Fashion & Textiles
- A Level Graphics
Plus 1 A level if students meet the subject entry criteria.
Alongside the general entry requirements, each subject will set its own subjects specific criteria. Please refer to the individual subject page in the ‘Subject Information Guide’.
The School reserves the right to apply discretion to grades achieved at GSCE, depending on a variety of influencing factors, including but not limited to students who have English as an Additional Language
Courses may be offered at the Westwood Academy and / or Kenilworth School and 6th Form.
Courses may be subject to change and The Westwood Academy / Kenilworth School and 6th Form reserve the right to do so.
Courses are subject to availability and will run as long as there is sufficient student demand.
